Eagling's Taekwondo

Welcome to Eagling's Taekwondo

Our club has now been in operation since 1971and is the oldest Taekwondo Club in Tasmania and indeed one of the oldest in Australia. Eagling's Taekwondo was founded by Dale Eagling who pioneered Taekwondo in Tasmania in 1971 and has enjoyed strong suppport in the state since that time. Our web site should answer all questions you have about our club. We encourage you to try out Taekwondo as a benefit both physically and mentally. Taekwondo is the ideal sport for the whole family, reinforcing positive social attitudes amongst its members. Please contact us if you need any more information on the following numbers:

DALE EAGLING TAEKWONDO AWARDED CHILD SAFETY 'FIRST'

childwise

Dale Eagling’s Taekwondo has received and been presented with an  Approval Certificate from ChildWise as being a “Child Safe Organisation”.  This has been a major task for the club over the last 5 years in reviewing their Member Protection Policy and, in consultation with Child Wise, have now had their Policy Approved.  Our club is the first organisation in Australia (private or public sector) to receive such a certificate.  The benefits to the club are immeasurable, as it promotes a better understanding within the community and above all provides SAFE places for children to learn the art of Taekwondo.   For more details please contact Child Wise on www.childwise.net or speak with Hugh or Angela Eagling about the club's experience.

DETKD is a Child Safe organisation and is committed to the protection of children and young people.  We have a Member Protection Policy in place to ensure a friendly and safe environment in which to experience Taekwondo.  We provide the framework for a Taekwondo training environment that is fair, supportive and equitable.   A copy of our full Member Protection Policy can be viewed and downloaded from this website. 2010 - The Year Ahead

Welcome to training for 2010. Eagling’s Taekwondo has a busy year ahead with several competition trips planned plus State Competition and National Level Competition. If you are a current member returning to training for the year please see our calendar of events for all dates that are relevant to training for the year. You will soon receive the club newsletter in the mail and will be available for download soon.

Eagling's Taekwondo High Performance training will continue this year and has been moved to Wednesday nights at our Moonah Centre. High Performance sessions for the year will start on the 10th February 2010. Training will lead into the different competition events planned for the year and attendance will be compulsory for those members wishing to continue on to State and National competition for the year.

For our more traditional members development will continue for the year with several workshops that will be conducted in self defence and the more traditional aspects of the art.

Remember, set your goals for the year and make sure you succeed in fulfilling them. This one step - choosing a goal and sticking to it - changes everything. Nothing worthwhile was achieved without hard work

Special Black Belt training sessions will continue this year for those progressing toward a Black Belt grading. Please see the calendar of events for training dates.

Success is a journey, not a destination. We wish you well for the year ahead.
